Job Description: Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance and business systems professionals.Our Crown Corporation client seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for a three-month contract with the possibility of extension. In this role you will support Year-End activities.The Senior Financial Analyst’s duties will include:
· Ensuring financial data integrity and security in the general ledger and subledgers
· Providing authoritative advice regarding Public Sector Accounting Practices.
· Coordinating year-end closing activities across the organization including communication, accounting and reconciliation of ledgers,
· Preparing payroll accounting and reconciliations
· Preparing a wide variety of reports including statutory reports, Public Accounts reports, and payroll reports
· Developing and improving tools for presentation and analysis.
· Other duties as requiresThe ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:· Post-secondary education in a relevant field
· Five years’ experience performing period-end closing activities
· Working knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards
· Experience with Great Plains Dynamics a strong asset
· CPA designation or working towards a strong asset
· Strong oral and written communication skills in French and English
