Please be aware that successful candidates will need a minimum of 3 days of 4-hour blocks of availability between Monday and Friday per Semester, between the hours of 8:30am-5pm.This is a casual position that includes a variety of shifts flexing between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm, including willingness to cover at our Patricia and Souch campuses based on business needs. If you have a passion to offer exemplary service, love interacting with people, value teamwork, and appreciate a job well done, then we welcome your application!NAIT offers training and development opportunities to support professional growth for our staff and a welcoming and inclusive environment unrivaled in engagement and dynamism, and co-workers who are collaborative, respectful, and supportive.Key Responsibilities:Process sales and web orders in an efficient manner, modelling accuracyActively engage customers by offering support, suggesting items for purchase, answering questions, and resolving concerns in a friendly mannerSupport the process of receiving, counting, tagging, and organizing inventory and customer ordersPrepare merchandise for sale and assist in the promotion of products and specialsReplenish floor stock and keep Team Leads informed of product sell-through observationsSupport the picking and fulfillment of web and special-order purchasesEnact loss-prevention strategies in order to support a secure shopping environmentSkills & Abilities:Detail orientated and an agile learner with the ability to retain product knowledge and confidently assist customersExcellent skills in customer service, communication, and teamworkThe ability to learn and follow established departmental guidelines and proceduresComprehension of Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer skillsFlexibility with scheduling, including the ability to work increased hours during peak periods and some evening and weekend shiftsMust be able to lift to 50 lbs and be able to stand for up to 6 hours a dayQualifications:Must have previous experience in a retail or customer service environment where focus was on providing an excellent customer experiencePoint of Sale experience is necessary to be successful in the roleBeing able to troubleshoot digital and technological issues is a plusCompletion of grade 12 or have an equivalent combination of experience and educationApplicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).Remuneration $16.34 – $21.69 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of stat holidays and vacation accrual.This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.Please submit a resume and cover letter to be considered for this opportunity.About NAITWe are proud to have been named one of Alberta’s Top Employers for 13 consecutive years.
