Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Executive Services and Protocol, the Food Services Assistant will provide friendly, high-quality hospitality support for meetings, events, workshops, seminars. You will work closely, with the Executive Services team ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent service to guests. You will also handle some administrative duties, including taking food and beverage orders and ensuring prompt, efficient service.More specifically you will:
Coordinate and deliver food and beverage services while maintaining professionalism, using discretion and tact during all functions. Ensure proper room and table setups for events and assist with clean-up afterward. Contribute to the development of work procedures, schedules, and quality control to maintain high service standards. Understand and follow all health and safety regulations related to food service. Use time management skills to stay organized and meet deadlines. Maintain a respectful and supportive work environment and assist with additional duties as needed.What you need to succeed
To excel in this role, you’ll need strong people skills to work well with individuals at all levels. You should be able to take responsibility for tasks, work independently, and show flexibility in a fast-paced environment. The ability to plan, prioritize tasks, and stay organized is key.You’ll need to deliver excellent service to guests, paying close attention to quality and details, especially when priorities change, or urgent requests arise. You’ll also need to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment in your work. Both teamwork and independent work will be essential for success.Your education and experienceHigh School Diploma or post-secondary education in a hospitality program with a minimum of 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience working in the hospitality or food services industry.In addition :
- Completion of a basic health and safety course, or a Food Handler Certificate.
- Knowledge of fine dining hospitality best practices and protocol.
- Ability to lift 10 kg and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in a fine dining or high-end hospitality setting.
- Experience using SharePoint or similar tools.
- Knowledge of the Bank’s organizational structure.
What you need to know
- Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
- Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents
- Security level required: Be eligible to obtain Reliability

- Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $50,680 to $59,128 (job grade 10)
- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 3 to 5% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (2%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
